Greetings,
We just returned home from our maiden voyage of our R Pod 179, or as we now have christened it, the "N.C.C. 179, U.S.S. Enter-Pod"! (Yes, as in Star Trek) We had a fabulous time and of course received lots of looks and questions about our R Pod. Everything worked as expected, though being our first non-tent camping experience, the learning curve on some things was steeper than others but, we muttled through. Not real crazy about the center push-button LED lights as they don't seem to be very durable. We actually damaged one of the delicate switches. We are very excited to once again get out there and boldly camp where we have never camped before!! We're also looking forward to someday attending an R Pod rally if there is ever one not toooo far away and meet other R-podders!! Time to plan our trip for June.... Stay tuned.... Glad to hear you like your 179. I've owned mine for over a year now and have spent about 70 nights in it. It's a very practical design and comfortable. I'm headed for the Black Hills on June 5, will be staying at the Big pines campground near Custer for 7 days. This is my second pod, and I have had trouble free experience with both. Good luck and safe journeys
