We are thinking about a 176t, but have some questions about the tent: has anyone experienced any leaking from the tent side, or has anyone had any condensation on the inside of the tenting during heavy rain, etc.?

Blowing rain maybe, as the lifted door should offer good protection over the top.

Condensation is a matter of ventilation. 176T's are pretty rare. I do remember at least one owner saying they had to go over the seams with seam sealer, just like any other tent.

I can only speak from one wet weekend with our new 176T. We had some really hard downpoors and didn't have any leaks. It wasn't cold outside so there was no chance for condensation. In my days of using a popup you just had to make sure you had some ventilation going. It's also apparent that you could sleep with the tent closed if it was really cold and looking for some extra insulation.
