My new R-Pod 179 came with a Furrion DV7100 audio system. However, it can barely receive any radio stations, despite my Ipod with earphones being able to bring many stations in clearly. Has anyone ever taken the Furrion out of the wall and observed if the antenna is grounded, or if there is an antenna at all? The schematic of the unit shows the antenna hook up on the back of the unit, but I haven't a clue where the antenna surfaces. I understand that fiberglass body trailers typically have grounding issues with radio antennas. The dealer had no wisdom to offer. Thanks.

I have a new 176, and I just today removed the Furrion from the wall (very easy, 4 screws) but didn't notice the antenna lead. I was checking the audio input from the TV, because I can't get it to play through the speaker system. I do get very strong FM stations down here in Las Cruces and it sounds great. When I take the unit off the wall again, I'll check the antenna circuit. |
