The 176 which has a 19' TV option comes with a more traditional radio and inside speakers. I do not think outside speakers are that far off on these models that have 19' option with the traditional RV stereo set up.

The sound quality of the TV unit in the 177 leaves alot to be desired !!
We are seriously considering doing a mod with a much larger TV/DVD, which will improve the sound quality. I'll be sure it has a AUX in for my iPod/iPhone. (stereo hopefully). We're not to concerned with FM/AM radio at this time. We also hope to have a DirecTV setup as well for the TV. (we are subscribers and will take one of our home receivers camping). All we need is the portable dish and some cable and a place to put all of this !! But Im sure we will, somehow.
As far as the "Loud" AC goes, we'll just have to put up with that until we get more information about a quieter unit. No hurry with that.
We will keep all of this stuff "inside" (expect for dish) for our own entertainment during the night or rainy days.
I too believe that respecting ones camping neighbors is of utmost importance.
But Im sure there are times when its appropriate to have outside music going, just not presented in a disturbing manner, like to loud, or adult content.
I much rather sit by a fire, talk, take a hike, or hopefully look at the stars too.
HAPPY PODing !!!

I have a shift 3 wireless speaker.
all the local cvs stores (nashville, tn) have them for 49.99, and with coupons i ended up paying 20.00! Works great and can use anything that headphones will hook up to. not on cvs website, but this shows you the speaker. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=10390215 |

Wes, we have this speaker and I tried to hook it up to the TV in the 172. I could not figure out how to connect the antenna part to the TV. I claim to be somewhat technological (school teacher) and feel stupid not to be able to connect this. Can you post a picture or two for me?
