With the changes many have made replacing blinds , mattresses, and improving table. It would be better I would think to have buyers have a option of curtains, comfortable foam mattress, and a upgraded table and other options. With Forest River wanting to build a enviromentaly friendly trailer it would make sense to have options. Buyers would be paying for something they like instead of something they would end up replaceing which may end up in landfills. It may be easier said than done for Forest River to provide options, the thought sounds good.    David

The thought does sound good !!

Who better to add (desirable) "options" than the Factory. After all, they know "all" the specs of the unit from the ground up. (limitations and capacities)

Im sure this would increase the cost of the unit, but your right about the replacement effects on the environment.
The owner mods are a good thing in a way, it gets the owner very familiar with their particular unit.

We may end up with a few thousand dollars of mods before its all said and done, but we'll know our unit by then very well. The Factory may charge more for a mod than it would cost the owner to do if they are able.

Id luv to get a drawing or picture of the support system of the Pod shell. Would like to know where we could attach things inside without having to worry about them falling off during towing.

Upon thinking about this, (IMHO) I think I would have settled for a better QC procedure during manufacturing. I believe that if everything worked (according to plan) there would be fewer issues with the standard equipment. For example: making sure all the LP and water lines were clear of foreign objects/all water gaskets and outlets are working properly/LP devices are functioning. Ive found alot of saw dust and pieces of tape & wire in the hidden compartments during a few of my mods. Some wires have plenty of "play", some not. Perhaps I'm being picky, but I'm just an owner, not the maker.
