We had heard about the tire cover before we got our 171 so as soon as we got it home the hubbie put four grommets on the cover and put a tie rope on the inside where it doesn't show.  Maggie

We put grommets in the spare tire cover in the back and then attached a small bungee so that it would not come flying off.  It looks real clean and you do not see the bungee.

Wink I did the same thing Rfun, I attached some material on the tire cover over the elastic with contact cement and then installed some grommets. I now have bungees holding the cover on, I don't think it will come off.
