Don & I are planning to camp at Maumee Bay State Park for 4 nights - arriving Thursday, September 23, 2010 and departing on Monday, September 27, 2010.  We have already reserved Site 133.   Pam & Bob DeLay have reserved site 134 . . . so we have a small group stated.  The temps should be mild and the park is beautiful.  You can make reservations on-line at www.ohiodnr.com. or call 1-866-644-6727 or Google Maumee Bay State Park for more info. 
 
If the R-Pods were being produced at that time, it would not be a long drive to go over to Goshen for a tour.  If there is interest, we can investigate that possibility.

Mrs Piper held my feet to the fire until I made reservations for the Ohio Fall Camping.  I kept telling her we were from Pennsylvania but she insisted it didn't matter so.
We will be in site # 132  of Maumee Bay SP Sept 23-27.   Looking forward to seeing our friends from the ERU.

Hurray!!!  Can't wait to see our podder friends again.  Another thing close by to do is to go to the Lake Erie Islands.  Port Clinton, where you catch the ferry to Put-in-Bay on South Bass Island,  is only 35 miles away.  Hope by then we have even more people joining us.

Cedar Point amusement park and Maritime Museum at Vermillion, OH are other places to go.
