Disappointed I can't consider this. I will be in Seattle for the Breast Cancer Walk.

Ah shucks, we will probably be in Kentucky and you pepper and coach pod will be in Ohio!  We only have one chance to go up there this year and that's it for us til next year.  I'll be there for the closing early August if you're around?  Are you anywhere near Etown?
get out of the door and light out and look all around . . .

Hey Silviablue,
We are about 2 hours from Etown.  If we don't have something going on when you come for the signing, we will try to get down there to see you and the new house.  I am getting excited for you. Keep us informed.

Maumee Bay State Park
We will try to make this informal R-POD meet ! The park sounds great. I will be in Port Clinton next week and (yes!)the area is truly beautiful - Putin Bay is a must see if you have not been there. It is a short 30 min high speed ferry ride from Port Clinton.

Don & I also want to take the ferry ride.  We may also take a drive into Michigan.  We're open to suggestions.

How many do we have coming at this point?  I am getting excited about being up on the lake with you guys.  Rick said yesterday that camping at Fort Boonesborough will not be the same without all the Podders there.  I agree.

By my count, which is unofficial, six sites have been reserved so far.  That is a pretty good start.

I had thought that Put-in-Bay was closed after the historical weekend, but, alas, i was wrong!! We will be able to go over to the island. You can go to www.putinbay.com and check out the calendar and stuff there is to do. Okay, I'm getting excited now. There's even a coupon for the ferry, but I couldn't get the whole to print. Maybe you guys are better than I am. I'm going to drive to Ella's on Wed. and then we will be able to leave early Thurs. morning and get there early.

When I was at Alum Creek State Park, I picked up a brochure for Miller's Ferry.  Their cost is shown at $6.50 per adult one way.  It takes 18 minutes.  Cars/motorcycles are $15.00.  Tink, did you look at the Jet Express or the ferry?

I just checked out the Jet Express.  They have a lighthouse tour which takes you around the east islands in the morning.  They stop at Put in Bay and have 3 hours of free time.  Then at 3 they continue the tour of the west islands lighthouses and arrive in Port Clinton at 4:30  The excursion in on September 24 and costs $55.  We are considering it but will not make up our minds until we get there and see what the weather is like. Big smile

Tink, I cannot find the discount coupon.  Is it for the ferry or the Jet Express?
