Tongue       I just sent Pepperpod a private message about the Tearjerkers having nation wide chapters.
I believe that if the moderators would go to the Tearjerkers website that they would get a lot of ideas about creating Chapters Nationwide? The website is http://tearjerkers.net - http://tearjerkers.net

Gave it a brief look and was surprised to see a LincolnLand chapter which is where
Cindy & I are located.
This subject has been mentioned previously, but just in passing.

Perhaps we can get some input from more members concerning
this subject. I'll be keeping my eye on this thread to see what develops.

I think its a great idea. Most online car clubs have local chapters. When I had my previous car, the local chapter section was the first section I always looked at.

I nominate Outbound to chair the Ontario chapter Wink.

Alright, Phil!  I'll put on my Grand Poo-Bah hat and call the meeting to order!  Make sure to send in your dues! LOL

The funny thing is, I was just thinking that with this mild weather we've been having (along with next to no snow), some late-March camping may be in the cards.  Are you up for a podatious getogether of the Ontario Podders at http://www.conservationhamilton.ca/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=62&Itemid=67 - Valens Conservation Area ?

Speaking of Ontario podders... are there any more of us out there?  I know that Campkins has been selling r-pods left and right.  And I'm sure that McPhails sold a couple.  How about some WNY podders too?  I see that Colton RV is selling r-pods!

Well, if being a Moderator carrys any weight, or has any power, or includes some form of Divine Intervention LOL (NOT!!) I think that "Outbound" should be the Grand Pod-Bah of the entire country of Canada !!! That way "he" can handle all the Chapters in Canada !!!

Can I get an "Amen" ????

Late March eh? hmmmm I was thinking mid April - I'd hate to dewinterize and then get a cold snap. Sounds like an interesting idea though. One idea our pop-up friends had was to organize a convoy to go to upstate New York or the Detroit area and camp near a Camping World and/or Gander Mountain store and stock up for the season!

Well, late-March would be weather-dependent of course.  Although, after all the great weather we had after I winterized last year, I think that I'm going to take a new approach this year: I'm going to keep a few jugs of the pink stuff on hand and winterize/dewinterize as needed this spring and fall.

A trip to the states for a restock sounds like a great idea!  Make sure to keep me in the loop Smile

I think that nationwide chapters like the tearjerkers have is an excellent idea.  You could set-up the chapters by sections of the country (Ex. Northeast, Southeast, etc.).  R-Poders can then meet talk about products discuss interests/ modifications in general.  Many times when there are large groups the manufacturers will then get involved and provide more support to there customers, also.  I think that Aliner does this annually by having an annual event nationally for all of their customers.  This is a good way to gain information, meet people, and solve product issues.

I think its a great idea. It has come up before, but due to the fact that r-Pods are relatively new to the market, "chapters" haven't gain much momentum yet. None the less, still a great idea !

How about an Eastern Canada Chapter or even better a Maritime one.

This may have been discussed before but I could not find it. I would like to see a list of podders and there location. Maybe just the State they live in. Could location be added to the member list and then sorted by location? Possibly small group gatherings would start to happen.

Considering the r-Pod is "new" on the scene I'm sure that as the numbers grow, so will
the owners in particular states. Remember,,,,, to us, 2 r-Pods in the same place at the same time
is a Rally !!!

As far as a list goes, I guess we could create one that specifies model # and state for now.
I believe they have something like this at the "other" r-Pod forum.
You may want to check that out.
So far I'm not aware of one here yet.

I think it would be kool to have regional chaptersSmile.

I noticed that we have a lot more Texans recently.  I think TEXAS could have it own chapterStar, because it's not South, not West, or MidWest it's just TEXAS.  After all it's where Round-Ups Started.

How about a forum called Location with topics for states. If your state is not listed yet then just add it. This way the admins only need to add the forum header.  Linda :)

Admin would have to establish the forum, as was the case with "Modifications".

From that point on it's just a matter of creating folders for each US state within that forum, or the particular
area of the "Globe" you are from.

(all would be welcome!)

I believe that the name of the forum should be " r-Pod Chapters " ......

It would be a good way to keep up w/podders RoundUps within, or close to, your home state, or area.

That sounds like a great idea. members could then go to their state or province and register their pod and maybe home town. might make it easier for new yawkers to unite.Hug

Sylvia - Don't laugh. In digging around the profiles in the R-Pod Owners forum profiles I believe I saw another Costa Rican pod. We may to do some digging, but maybe you can have a CR Roundup soon. I'd try to fly down for that. Love that place.

This as a postscript. I went through the Memberlist in the top menu. It's rather tedious, but I looked at each profile so that I could send a PM to every TX / LA podder for the Huntsville roundup. The only problem was that not many people have filled out their profiles.

I am always hesitant to leave some information on a public forum, but HOME STATE would, I think, be OK. (That doesn't mean Oklahoma OK, just OK OK.Embarrassed)
