Greeting from sunny California!

We took deliver of our new 2012 r-pod 177 this past week and will be heading out this weekend for a quick weekend get away to work out all the kinks.  We have been driveway camping just to see what works and what didn't, so far the only issue has been they didn't tighten down the water connections under the kitchen sink so we had a little leak, but nothing major.  We will have to see what this weekend brings.

Here is a photo when we stopped at Sonic in Tracy, CA on the way home:

congrats on your 177 we took our 2012 177 out for a 5 day first trip trail. We were brave and didn't do a whole lot of testing at home. Sure beats waking up in a tent... happy poding

Congrats.  We bit the bullet and took ours out the day after we took delivery.  Fortunately all worked.  Only gripes were the brakes on the trailer were not adjusted properly and did not provide any braking.  Other problem was a loose door on a cabinet.  Upon our return, I took it to the delivering dealer and they spent less than an hour fixing things.  Fabulous service.  Can't say enough good things about Funtime RV in Tualatin, Oregon.  Jim Hubbard the sales manager, especially.  Safe Travels.

We took our 177 out last week.
The sink did leak.  Turned out it was not properly plumbed from the factory.  The flexible pipe needs to turn as the slide is put out.  Did not know that so I tightened the nut back up.  Still leaked.  Took the dealer about 30 minutes to redo the plumbing.
The smoke alarm went off at 5:18 am when I turned on the heater.  Turned heater off.  There is an oily film on the grate that needs to burn off.  I didn't know that.
Enjoy your trip!

Hope your weekend went well.  We have thoroughly enjoyed our 177 since we got it in February 2011.  Send some pics and commentary on your 'maiden voyage' please!

Thanks to all for the warm welcome! We had a pretty good first run, no issue except one as I was driving down the road I notice the driver's side tire looked slanted and the tire did not appear to be fully covered by the, so when we got to the site I looked at both sides and sure enough the passenger side tire where the door is true and straight and about 3 or so inches from the wall, while the driver's side the tire sticks out about 5 inches from the wall and the top of the tire is closer than the bottom by 2 inches.  Has anyone seen this, is this because of the weight of the slide out?

Confused
Jack up the r pod so the tire is off the ground and feel for play back and forth top to bottom.
Sounds like the lugs are loose or the wheel bearings are not seated properly.  I would not drive any further unless a mechanic checked this out.
Keep us posted.

Checked the lug nuts and they are nice and snug.  Here are a few pictures, the first photo is the door side or the good side note the distance between the tire and the fender, the second is the slide out side note how shorter the distance is and the third is from the front look at the same side not that the tire is a slight angle and the pressure seems to be on the inside of the tire.

I have never seen this before.  This is a dealer problem.  Hopefully they will have a fix.  Nice to here the lug nuts where tight.
Shocked

Our fenders are at different heights from the wheel on each side as well.  Slide out side is closer than the door side.

Thanks kymooses, that is good to know!  Does your tire appear slightly slanted like the torsion axle can't handle the weight of the slide out?

Same with our 177.  Got underneath and measured one day; the left side torsion is compressed maybe 1/4 to 3/8 inch more than the right, probably from kitchen weight. Right side fender is also mounted higher to clear the lower awning track, which exaggerates the difference.  My tires look square with both sides of the trailer, but not with the fenders, which both seem cockeyed when viewed from the front.

I can't say I've noticed that before but I'll be looking tomorrow and see what I see on ours!
