Hello to all Podders,

I recently hurt my back and herniated a disc. I was thinking that an electric jack on my Rpod171 would help ease the pain as I recover. Does any one have an electric jack on there Rpod ?   How does it work for you ?

Thanks for your input...

Dockguy - Smart thinking. My wife and I both have disc problems in our lower backs and neck. We got an electric tongue jack for our 177 and it makes a world of difference.

This is the first one we bought. I was looking for one that was lightweight. However, it only lasted for about 4 outings.

We had the RV dealer put on a new one but I don't remember what make/model.

Also, for your back, if you're not already doing it, use a rechargeable electric drill to put your levelers up and down.

We have an MPG which is very similar to the Rpod.
I did a lot of research before I purchased our Barker VIP-3500; It appeared to be the most popular and most reliable.

Ours has been trouble free for a year now.

Do a search on the RV.Net forums and you will see how many folks have it.

Bought one at the beginning of last season and then wondered why I waited so long. No more cranking ! Install is simple and takes less than 15-20 minutes.

Hi Rpodders,

Thanks for your replies. Is there any brand that out performs the other and reasonable in price which you recommend in for electric jacks ?   Husky, Barker, Domare, Lippert, etc. ?   Thanks for your input.

I had a Barker 3500 on mine and loved it.
