Just got back from our first trip with the new R-pod 178.  We drove  through some rain and when we got to the campgrounds the cushions were soaked, the floor was soaked, the mattress and blankets were soaked at both ends.   Anyone have any insight as to what might be happening?

The only windows that Didn't leak, were the small one by the sink, and the rear. I'm wondering if it is possible that the water is being forced through the weap-holes in the window frame bottoms.

We are so disappointed.  Plan to call the dealer Tuesday when they open, just got home from our trip this afternoon.

Make sure your windows are not installed backwards. That happened to someone on here a while back.

Not sure how to tell if they are backwards.  They all have sliders in them, and the latches are on the inside. Plus all the weap-holes are on the bottom.  It wouldn't surprise me though, the door latch catch was upside down so we couldn't lock the door at night, and the latch that holds the entrance door open was reverse installed.

My windows on my 171 leak if I don't make sure they are 'slammed' shut then locked. (I can actually lock them with out 'slamming' them and they leak horribly.)

Check the seals, our dealer found some around the windows when we bought it then sealed it for us.  We just had wall warranty work done (check the other thread) and it was due to a seal on the top of the unit that had formed a very tiny pinhole where water came in. I certainly hope we don't end up with window leaks or I just might give up on this whole trailer thing.

Update:  The dealer sprayed water on the windows and couldn't get them to leak.(no surprise)  I told them that would happen.  It only leaks when your driving in the rain with wind pressure.  They said there was nothing they could do. I asked them if they could be tightened and they said "no, not really".  I asked them if they could call forest river to see if they had any ideas, the said " it would be better if you called them they won't do anything if we do!   Looks like the problem is mine to solve.    Thumbs Down

I have a 176T and also get a leak out the bottom of a rear window when driving in the rain. I am trying to figure it out, but believe it is forced in on the roof edge strips and enters where my fiberglass tent "hatch" meets the roof edge. Does yours have the tent or garage "hatch" too? and does that make sense?
