Hello, I am a newbie and I have a question based on another hobby I have, namely Amateur Radio.  From time to time I have heard "ham radio operators" talking while mobile in their vacation vehicles.  So I am wondering if there are R-Pod ham radio operators out there.  My call is KJ6TL and I am wondering if there might be ham "nets" that you R-Poders are involved it?  If not, maybe there should be.

I'm not a ham operator, but I still use 11-meters, as I've been doing for the last 40-years.

Hi

I am a extra class ham and operate from my 179 often. In fact I will be using it for field day next week.  I had the dealer install a cable cover on the side of the unit for pulling in the coax and ground.  I also had this in my 171.  There is a "midcars" net on from about 9 central to 1 central every day.  The Freq. is 7258 on the 40 meter band.  This is for mobiles and portables plus base stations.  If you google "ham radio nets"  I'm sure you will find many more.  Many nets on 80, 40 ,20 during the day.  Listen around.  Good luck and safe travel
