The charging circuit is contained within the converter.  Several available troubleshooting procedures available on line.

If I plug into shore power and disconnect the battery term al post from the battery.. then put a meter on the battery cables I should get voltage at that point correct?

Nope how does shore power get to battery with cables disconnected, it goes thru the convertor.  What you can do is pull the 40A fuses, check if good.  Measure from the common lug (-) to the VCC lug on the DC fuse board, do you see 13.3 to 13.7 Vs?  If so replace the bad fuses, check your 12V stuff, if it works, check your battery.  If the answer is NO, your convertor is bad.

If you are plugged into shore power, and the converter is working, the battery leads will show 13.4v or so, when disconnected from the battery. Make sure, you do not/touch short the cables while they are off the battery and shore power is connected.

If you don't show voltage across there, the converter isn't putting out voltage, either bad, or a fuse or breaker issue.

BUT.. this is kind of the hard way to go about checking. Just plug into shore power with one battery lead disconnected, and turn on the interior lights.. If they work, your converter is working. The pod gets 12v power from the battery or the converter. If you eliminate one, the other has to be working if your 12v stuff works.

Here is a video that shows exactly where the converter is, and walks you through the process of changing it...

I would not replace with a WFCO replacement if I was paying for it.

Furpod,

Question?  If you pulled the 40A fuses would you isolate the convertor from the battery?  Then check to see if 12V stuff works?

If you pull the 40a fuses, you isolate the converter/charger from the system completely. 12v will be available only until the battery(ies) die.
