FYI:

I normally keep a cover on my R 180. We had planned a camping trip in late March. So I removed the cover about a week before we left. Didn't need the AC still cool weather. When I got home and parked the pod, which I didn't recover at the time. About three weeks went by before I got around covering the pod. I washed it and was checking the seals, caulking and such around the pod. When I discovered pine needles in the rood AC cover. I tried to flush it out with the hose but to no use. So I removed the cover to my surprise a bird had made a nest in the side to AC cover. I removed the nest best I could but mommy bird flew away leaving her eggs behind. Good thing I washed the pod that day before covering it up until we left for another trip. Whit mommy not being able to get out from under the pod cover I felt we would have had a very unwelcome smell when we turned on the AC, since the nest was next to the fan cage it would have blown into the camper.

Just as a note.. there is no direct route for air into and out of the camper when the a/c is running. That's why the filters are on the inside of the camper. The air in the camper is filtered, cooled, and returned to the camper. The fans on the roof are to move air over and through the heat exchanger and compressor.

It's sad when ever we have to try to move a nest.. I doubt it ever goes well.
