There are so many crafty poders around here. Makes one wish he had a work shop and the ability to go with it. Very good job.

We have sooo many talented people on this forum.  We have knife makers, artists, crafters, and  woodworkers just to name a few.  I don't know about you, but I am so glad that I found this forum.

R-pod & tow vehicle as requested, David (of course it's really a cookie jar towing a bird feeder, lol)

Yizit, all I did was find a picture of the side of an R-pod online - adjusted the size of the pic so that the trailer filled my 15" laptop screen, put a sheet of clear plastic overhead projector film over the computer screen and traced the trailer with a sharpie. I then transferred this to some cedar paneling I had previously glued up and just eyeballed the rest. It's supposed to be kind of "folk arty" not a true scale model, though its pretty much a 1" to 1' scale.

I made a few more birdhouses for family and friends. In the process, I'm gradually refining the design. Who knows, I might even bring a few to Kentucky.

Phil
I'm confident the birds in my neighborhood would start a major conflict to see who got to live in the "POD" .
Those are absolutely great.  Your craftsmanship and ingenuity are astounding.  Thanks for sharing them with us.
By the way your other tow vehicle looks just like a '53 Buick I used to own.

Those are great...How did you get the circles on there???, Do you have any 172s (no front windows), and most of all do you take orders.

I would attached a shepards hook somewhere.  (for the campsite not while moving).

Lee - I'll make some with no front windows to take to Kentucky for those with 172's. I can always add windows on the spot as they're painted on (as are the "Olympic rings") :)
I don't know what a shepherd hook is but they have a wire on the top to attach to a hook or plant hanger (such as a hanging basket) etc

My grandson has fallen in love with my R-Pod.  So I made him a similar, simple, wooden model but I have no talent as an artist. I wanted the R-Pod graphics on the sides.  So I carefully photographed my R-Pod and using Photoshop, kept the image of the graphics.  I bought some inkjet decal paper.
I found the following Youtube.com instructions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d8XuJ0Z3bbQ
for making a decal which could transfer to the R-Pod model.  I printed out the Pod's graphics
several times on regular paper until the dimensions fit the size of the model.  I spray painted the wooden model glossy white and transferred the decals to the model.  I didn't have to carve the door or windows, since the decal has the door and windows on it. My grandson has his birthday present of 'Gramp's Pod' on a shelf over his bed.
