I am interested in learning more about solar systems. I would like to be able to run a small fan, our small tv (which came with our pod) and charge phones etc... Looking for suggestions, ideas, pictures, where to buy and help from you folks. We wouldn't run all at the same time but do a lot of camping where there is no electricity. Space is always an issue with the pod. The fan would be a 110 so some sort of inverter.

Hello.   you need to figure out the maximum wattage of the things you want to operate.  Then figure out how many hours a day of use.  Solar panels are rated at their maximum out put under perfect conditions.  So assume about 1/2 of that rating or less for actual output.  Expect to shell out about $600 to $800 for the panels and controller.  Hope this helps, Happy New Year!  Drive safe.

Hi Lark, are there companies or brands that are considered top notch and are recommended for this?

Greetings

I have never checked any out.  When dry camping , I use a 2000 watt Honda inverter generator.
